Pathways and Vehicle Display Areas
Project Description: Terratech used T-PRO® 500 to transform loose crushed limestone aggregate into durable walkways, driveways and outdoor vehicle display areas for a Canadian car dealership.
Project Objectives: The client wanted a cost effective alternative to concrete paving that would create low maintenance walkways, driveways and outdoor display areas for a newly built car dealership. The locally available crushed limestone material was infused with polymer and compacted in place using hand-operated equipment. The final surface was stained with multicolored dyes to give it a more natural appearance and to complement the new landscaping. Using polymer to stabilize the limestone created a hard surface which will easily shed water, snow and provide the functionality of asphalt at a fraction of the cost.
Equipment Used: Rakes, Shovels, Water-buffalo with Attached Hose Sprayer, Vibrating Walk-behind Compactor at 104 ft2/gal.
Application Specifications: Infused application with polymer concentrations at 1%. All sections sealed with a light topical seal coat.
Maintenance Requirements: Re-compaction of loose areas if necessary and topical re-application of polymer seal coat with added color.
